Two charged with murder and named after death of 37-year-old man
Bhekisani Matabiswana, 26, of St James Street, Bacup, and Natalie Chadwick, 27, of Hamerton Green, Bacup, have both been charged and are due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, November 5.
Mr Matabiswana is a black Zimbabwean national, known locally as Nick, and Ms Chadwick is a white British national, police said in an update tonight.
Police officers on patrol in Newchurch Road at 12.35am on Saturday, November 1, found paramedics performing CPR on Mr Harden on the pavement.
Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Home Office post-mortem examination was carried out on Sunday, November 2, but the cause of death remains unascertained pending further investigation.
Lancashire Police said Mr Harden’s family are being supported by specially trained officers and have been updated on the latest developments.

In a tribute, his family said: “There are no words to describe how devastated we all are.
“We wish our Luke could see the outpouring of love from everyone who knows him.
“He is and will always be special to us all, as a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, boyfriend and friend.
“You will be forever in our hearts and minds, and we are comforted knowing we can shut our eyes and your beautiful face will always be smiling back at us.
“Rest in peace, our gorgeous Luke, until we will meet again.”
Detectives are continuing to appeal for information as part of the ongoing investigation.
They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the Rosemount Working Men’s Club on Friday night who has not yet come forward.
Officers are also asking for dashcam or doorbell footage from the area between 11.45pm and 12.35am.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “Although two people have been charged, we are still asking for anyone who has information that would help our investigation to come forward.
“We are particularly keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage covering the area between 11.45pm and 12.35am to come forward.
“We also want to hear from anyone who was in the Rosemount Working Men’s Club on Friday night who we haven’t already spoken to.”
