One-way system in part of Bolton comes into effect today

The temporary traffic order, issued by Bolton Council, will affect Ainsworth Lane, from Bury Road to Jethro Street, where traffic will be permitted to travel only in a northerly direction.

Several side streets will also be closed, including Barnard Street, Scowroft Street, Leslie Street, Back Tonge Moor Road, Union Road, Back Horsa Street, Pole Street, Olaf Street, and Back Union Road.

The closure is in place to allow for electricity works.

Diversions will be signed.
