Ageing blacksmith in Nonthaburi preserves knife‑making heritage

Surapol Booonrueng, a veteran blacksmith born in Ayutthaya and now based in Nonthaburi, has spent decades hand‑forging knives using family‑taught techniques. He says years of hammering and heat taught him patience and that hand‑forged blades outlast machine‑made ones.
