I-25 to be closed overnight in Broomfield next week for construction

Lane closures on Interstate 25 in Broomfield are scheduled next week while crews work on constructing a new pedestrian bridge over the highway.
Northbound I-25 at Colo. 7 is set to close Monday evening, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. Southbound lanes are set to close Dec. 9. Each night, one lane will close at 8 p.m., two lanes will close at 9 p.m., and all lanes will close at 11 p.m. All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m.
Traffic will be routed around the closure via the Colo. 7 exit and entrance ramps. Drivers can expect slower traffic in the area while closures are in effect, according to CDOT.
The pedestrian bridge construction is part of the department’s I-25 and Colo. 7 Interim Mobility Hub project, which will also include a Park-and-Ride lot, Bustang slip ramps and a water quality pond. Construction is expected to be completed in fall 2026.
