Pedestrian hit by RTD train near Colorado station

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by a Regional Transportation District train in a south Denver tunnel on Thursday evening, police officials said.
The crash happened in the 4300 block of East Colorado Center Drive in the University Hill neighborhood, near the Colorado bus and rail station, Denver police said in a 4:45 p.m. post on X.
The person was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening head injury, RTD spokeswoman Tara Broghammer said. The person was hit while on or near the tracks in a tunnel under Colorado Boulevard, north of the RTD station, Broghammer said.
RTD replaced E and H line service with shuttle buses after the crash, and normal service resumed shortly before 6 p.m., agency officials said.
