Police issue update on investigation into fire in takeaway building
Officers believe they may have come across a suspected cannabis farm following the blaze, described as an electrical fire.
Officers and three fire engines from Bolton Central and Horwich fire stations were deployed to the scene on afternoon May 9 following reports of a fire in the basement of the Feed Belly restaurant on Chorley New Road.

No one was seriously injured in the blaze and fire crews remained on scene until after 5pm.

“Officers, alongside colleagues from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and located a suspected cannabis farm.
“No arrests have been made at this time and investigations are ongoing.
