Arrests after man suffers serious head injury in crash
Officers say they were called to reports of a traffic collision on Washacre early evening yesterday.
Three men and one woman have been arrested following the incident in which a man in his 20s suffered a serious injury.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance attended the scene at around 6.30pm on Wednesday evening (July 2).

The man was taken to hospital where he remains.
Residents said they saw the emergency services and an air ambulance land nearby.

Three men aged 25, 32 and 37- alongside a woman aged 34 – were arrested on suspicion of assault and dangerous driving.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have any CCTV footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage in the moments leading up to the collision.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 6.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 2 July 2025), we were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Washacre involving two electric bikes.”
“Officers attended the scene and located a man in his 20s with a serious head injury. He has been taken to hospital where he remains.”
“Three men aged 25, 32 and 37- alongside a woman aged 34 – were arrested on suspicion of assault and dangerous driving.”
A spokesperson for NWAS said: “A man was taken to the hospital by road with a head injury. We responded to RTC involving a cyclist following a 999 call at 18.25”
