Thai influencer Wonder JN goes offline after ‘low-class men’ backlash

Thai influencer and life coach Gina “Wonder JN” has shut down her Facebook and TikTok accounts following intense backlash over comments criticising men who follow women showing off their bodies on Instagram.
The controversy erupted after Gina posted a video in which she said men who follow women displaying their physiques on Instagram may appear “low-class and lacking social maturity”.
She suggested such behaviour damages the men’s credibility and increases the likelihood of them being rejected by women with “standards”.
The post sparked fierce debate on social media, dividing opinion between supporters and critics.
Gina initially disabled comments and attempted to clarify that she was addressing men’s public image rather than dictating personal tastes or forbidding certain behaviour.
Some men agreed with her perspective, arguing that public social media behaviour reflects one’s character. They contended that mature men should be selective about what they follow online, noting that leaving suggestive comments in public spaces makes them appear lacking in self-control.
However, many criticised the remarks as overgeneralising and disrespectful towards men, with language deemed excessively harsh.
Some women tried to make light of the drama, with one commenting: “I’m not worried about my husband because he only follows women who exercise.”
The controversy extended to the influencer’s family, particularly her mother, prompting Gina to share a conversation in which her mother advised: “If someone insults you, check whether the money in your account has decreased. If your money is still there, they have no impact on your life.”
As the backlash intensified, some internet users began looking into the life coach’s background. Many said they had discovered a pattern of disparaging remarks about men in her previous content.
Despite attempts at damage control, Gina ultimately disabled comments before closing both her Facebook page, which had about 175,000 followers, and TikTok account without further explanation.
