‘Remain vigilant’ warning after reports of off-road bikers

Officers reported over the weekend that they had received reports of off-road biking around the Hulton Playing Fields and surrounding areas.

They said they would investigate to find out who had been doing this and advised people, especially parents, to remain vigilant in the meantime.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “The Bolton South Neighbourhood Team have been made aware of issues involving off road bikes around Hulton Playing Fields and the surrounding housing estates.

“The team are currently trying to identify those responsible and prevent this from continuing.

“We understand that this poses risks to member of the public and needs to be tackled and prevented.

“Please could residents remain vigilant when out with children but ensure they report any information that can assist with our enquiries.

“Thank you for your patience and assistance with the investigation into this issue.”
